If Larry hadn’t taken the career path to radio, he would have gone to culinary school to become a chef.  In addition to cooking…hobbies include playing guitar, golf and classic American cars.  Larry was born in Chicago.  Grew up in Wisconsin (yes he is a Green Bay Packer fan).  He’s married to his best friend, Linda who is a Medford native.  They have two daughters and 4 grandkids and live in Central Point.

jonbyrdJonathan Byrd

My name is Jonathan Byrd, I was born here in Medford at RVMC in 1994 and I will be 19 this March. I love music and dancing! I bowl and compete in Special Olympics. I recently began painting at The Studio here in Medford, a part of Living Opportunities. I enjoy traveling on RVTD and frequently visit the Library! Love dining out and spending time with my Sister! I enjoyed the Live to Dance with The Arc Stars event last year, and here I am this year dancing in the Show!!

iiaIla Selene

Ila Selene is a triple threat and song writer that has toured parts of Europe, Mexico, Nashville, New Orleans, and the United States West Coast. She's portrayed Sergeant Sarah Brown in "Guys & Dolls", danced Ginger Rogers (with her dance partner and, recently married to, Jacob Jagger), written music for conventions and has won numerous singing awards.
Her vocal range is from alto to soprano. Although she has a rich chest voice, her upper notes top the scale at a high D, making her an asset to the acapella jazz world she was groomed by.
One of her fondest memories was being the first to sing The National Anthem at 18 years old on the U of O football stadium floor. She was featured in the Real Life Story section of the nationally printed magazine, Glamour, for helping homeless youth in the Rogue Valley.
She is the lead singer for The Bathtub Gin Serenaders, who opened for Steve Martin at the summer Britt Festival in 2012. She also sings with The Bishop Mayfield and Dave Storie Band as well as on her own. As a previous dance coach, Board member for the Medford Jazz Festival & a trustee at the Elks Lodge, she urges all others to give back where they can -- and hopefully that includes the area in which you live in. Book her for a show or private lesson by calling #541-601-9697

If you want to know what to expect to happen with the weather, just ask me!

Christine Pitawanich

Christine Pitawanich is honored and so excited to be a part of this year's Live to Dance event.
She is a native of the Pacific Northwest and was born and raised just outside of Seattle, Washington. Christine has been in the Rogue Valley for the last two years working as a Reporter, Anchor and Producer at NBC 5 News (KOBI-TV) in Medford. Whether it's conducting interviews, operating the camera, editing video, writing or going on air...she does it all...and loves her job! While her profession keeps Christine on-the-go most of the time, during her off days she loves to try new food, have fun in the outdoors...and dance!
Dancing has been a part of Christine's life ever since she was a little girl doing Street Jazz in elementary school. She participated in numerous dance teams growing up. However, ballroom -- more specifically Salsa -- is a new venture for her and she's excited to take on the challenge with her extremely talented partner Eston. He's a seasoned veteran with Live to Dance and Christine hopes he will show her the ropes. If she's lucky enough...maybe he'll teach her some of the Foxtrot he performed in Live to Dance 2011!

rosieRoseann Dunphy

My name is Roseann Ella Dunphy…but I am known to most people as Rosie. I was born in Medford, Oregon in 1979.  I have lived most of my life here in Medford, except for a few years in the Bay Area.  I am the former 1999 Miss Rogue Valley Special Beauty.  I love to listen to music such as; Beach Boys, Elvis (my most favorite), and the Beatles.  John Lennon and Paul Mc Carthy are also my favorites’. I did get to visit the small town of Nahiku on the Island of Maui this past summer, where George Harrison used to lived.  I am looking forward to dancing with the stars, because I love to dance.

Christy Hague

Born in Columbus, Ohio, Christy Hague moved to Medford in 1977.  She graduated from Ashland High School and has enjoyed many years of Special Olympics athletics from gymnastics to power lifting.  Christy has benefited from The Arc’s influences in the school programs and in the community at large. With all these activities, she especially loves music and dancing and welcomes the chance to join the other members of Live to Dance with The Arc Stars.

Gabriel Lee

Gabriel is a fun and spirited twenty-one year old. He is the eldest of three kids, born to Joe and Leslie Lee.  He has been hearing impaired since a baby,  but music has always been his greatest love and motivation.  Though not walking until age three, he was "dancing" to Creedence Clearwater Revival in his bungee chair long before that! Gabe grew up with varied and many musical resources in his life, but he wanted more. In fact he still can't get enough! From Opera to Hip Hop to any kind of Christmas music and everything in between! He is a graduate of North Medford High School where he lettered in both Choir and Track. Gabe has sung many solos and duets as well as with the  Men's choir and full choirs. He has studied theater and performed in several plays and even a movie as an "extra".  He loves to show off his latest dance moves at the First Saturday dances, as well as "Live To Dance with The Arc Stars"! Two of his goals are to continue his education in both singing and dancing.  Gabriel has two part time jobs and participates in Special Olympics, Dreamzworks Rec Club and paints and performs at The Studio @ Living Opportunities. For (more) fun, Gabe loves to hang with his friends, sing and dance to "Glee" songs and go on dates with his girlfriend! He hopes someday to go to Disneyland and to Europe and also to share an apartment with a friend!

Adam Kightlinger

Hey, I’m Adam Kightlinger and I’ve been a dancer at heart since I was the age of 7 loving music with beats and trying to impersonate Michael Jackson’s Moon Walk and poping. Hip hop overcame my life at the age of 14 where I would sing and dance along with singers like Usher and Justin Timberlake. With dance, singing was a huge highpoint in my life motivating me to become the best artist I could be. At the end of my teen years, Ballroom dancing shot in my life and was the competitive zing I needed to push myself into a stronger dancer. I competed in the annual Pear Blossom Ballroom Dancing competition winning second 2 years in a row. Of all the dances, I can truly say I will always be a hip hop dancer at heart, loving the pop and lock style trying to isolate each dimension of my body. Being an artist in both singing and dancing will always impact my life in a substantial way.
