Celebrate!
Oregon Respite Awareness Month

Governor Kulongoski has proclaimed April as Oregon Respite Awareness Month. During the month of April, Lifespan Respite Network of Jackson County, a program of The Arc of Jackson County, salutes Family Caregivers caring for loved ones with special needs. To help us celebrate please consider attending our “Pour Your Heart Out for Children Tea Party” (see details in Upcoming Events section) and/or by purchasing raffle tickets (details below).

Lifespan Respite is holding a raffle to raise money to help families in need of respite services! Tickets are $1.00 or 7 for $5.00. You choose which basket or baskets you would like a chance to win. All baskets are valued at over $150.00.

Basket #1Family Fun: 7 games at Lava Lanes; 5 passes to Coming Attractions Theater; 3 RV YMCA passes; 4 tickets to the High Desert Museum in Bend; and a $15.00 gift certificate to Hot Pots.

Basket#2 Pamper Yourself: 2 lawn tickets to Britt Classical Festival; 5—20 minute tans at Paradise Tan; Mini Facial by Becky’s Skin Elegance; Hair Cut and Style by Violet Groom; and a 1 hour massage by Matt Adair.

Basket#3 Glamour Shot: “The Works” by Cost Cutters; $100.00 gift certificate to David Gibb Photography; 2—$5.00 gift cards to Human Bean; and 2009 Valley View Chardonnay Wine.

Basket#4 Out and About: 2—$5.00 gift cards to Human Bean; 8 games at Lava Lanes; 5 passes to Coming Attractions Theaters; and 3—$25.00 gift cards to the RV YMCA.

Winners will be drawn at the Tea Party on April 23rd. You need not be present to win.

Lifespan Respite Kid’s Cooperative
Treat yourself to a well deserved break while your children have fun in a supervised environment!
Dates: April 10th** and 24th
May 8th and 22nd
June 12th and 26th
Time: 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Ages: 5 and Up
Location: Rogue Valley Family YMCA, Medford
Cost: $5.50 per hour or volunteer hour for hour
Activities include: Games, arts & crafts, and use of the facilities

Senior Social Club—Lifespan Respite Senior Cooperative
Affordable and dependable site based respite for Seniors!
Days: Tuesday’s and Thursday’s
Time: 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Location: Barnett Woods, Medford
Cost: $5.50 per hour or volunteer hour for hour
Activities include: Sit-ercise, arts & crafts, and games

Pour Your Heart Out for Children Tea Party
Enjoy an afternoon with our featured speaker Dr. Jones, Pediatrician; entertainment, food, silent auction, and fun. All money raised goes to support Lifespan Respite services.

Cost: $15.00 per person
